From Hipco hits and stadium shows to addiction, rivalry, and redemption, Christoph’s new EP marks a new chapter in his legacy.
Monrovia, Liberia – [October 5, 2025] — One of Liberia’s most influential MCs, Christoph the Change, is set to release his highly anticipated self-titled EP CHRIS on October 31, 2025. A trailblazer of the Hipco movement, Christoph’s impact on Liberian music spans more than a decade.
He first gained mainstream success through Hipco classics like Papay God, Heaven and Hell, Gbanna Man, and Hold Your Polaruh — hits that cemented his place as a household name. From there, he evolved into one of Liberia’s most dynamic artists, delivering Trapco bangers such as Akazuku, Problems, and Who Be Who featuring Teddyride, which has garnered over 160K streams across platforms.
Despite his fame, Christoph’s journey has not been without hardship. At the height of his career, he battled drug addiction, financial loss, and homelessness. His very public feud with Bucky Raw defined an unforgettable era in Liberian entertainment, dividing fans yet fueling creativity within the culture.

Now, Christoph returns stronger than ever. On CHRIS, he reunites with former rival Bucky Raw on the track Follow Me, showcasing growth and reconciliation. Rising stars Nuchie Meek and EL Drez also feature on the EP, with Nigerian producer Rapkid Beatz providing a rich, international sound. The project’s early teaser, Blessings, has already racked up over 25K views online.
“This project is a reflection of where I’ve been, what I’ve survived, and who I’ve become,” Christoph shares. “It’s not just music — it’s my truth, my growth, and my redemption.”
Today, Christoph is thriving again — living better, focused, and fully reconnected with his purpose. CHRIS represents a powerful new chapter for Liberia’s Hipco king.
