Commissioner Aaron S. Kawreh Brings Together Fargo Residents for a Peaceful March Against Violence
Liberians in Fargo, Minnesota, are coming together to raise their voices against violence and drug abuse through a peaceful march that emphasizes unity, awareness, and solutions. The event, set to bring together community members of all ages, is being organized by Aaron Success Kawreh, a Liberian native and one of the Commissioners for Human Rights for the City of Fargo.
Kawreh, who has dedicated much of his service to addressing social issues impacting vulnerable groups, believes this march is a vital step toward addressing the growing challenges within the community. “This event is not being organized by any specific organization but rather by me as an individual who sees and identifies the crisis within our community,” Kawreh stated.

The march will focus on the dangers of substance abuse, the devastating impact of violence on families, and the urgent need for collective responsibility.
Fargo’s Liberian community, one of the largest African diaspora groups in the region, has been proactive in organizing cultural, social, and educational events. This march adds another layer of civic engagement, showing the community’s determination to confront pressing issues head-on. With the support of allies, friends, and local leaders, this peaceful march is expected to shed light on the struggles many face while promoting healthier alternatives, unity, and hope.
Kawreh emphasized that change begins with awareness, and this march aims to spark a conversation that leads to meaningful action.
